What is worse than a sick a kid? A sick husband. What is worse than a sick husband? 2 sick kids, a sick baby, and sick husband. Last night was quite the night. I kept up with temperature checks followed by Tylenol or Motrin and sometimes stripping pajamas or covers, depending on how high the fever got. It got to be so much to keep up with every ones medicine and what time they could have which medicine that I had to actually chart it. Everything was fairly calm and I was ready to get to bed myself. I knew that I wouldn't sleep if every one's temp was not under control so I did a quick check. Brynlie had a temperature of 104. For a baby I was a bit concerned. I called the After Hours Line to see how high they allowed babies temp to go before being checked out. The nurse told me that if it was controlled and no higher than 105-106 she would be fine 24 hours. After that I needed to call the doctor. I agreed. Feeling a bit better I continued on my temp check. Ansely was next. I took her temp as she slept. 103,104,105, I started to get nervous. It finally stopped around 106.2. WHOA!! I was scared. I called my mom as I waking her up to take some more medicine. As I woke her up she panicked saying she couldn't breathe. I yelled for Jeff. He came in and we calmed her down and got her to take the medicine. I wanted to rush her into the ER right then but Jeff's calmness made me realize there was nothing else they would do there that I was not doing already. I took her temperature every 15 minutes for an hour until it started to go down. Once her temperature was down I thought that I could get some sleep but my nerves were shot. All I could do was wander from one child's room to the next every hour to make sure all was safe and temps were down. I am soooo ready for this virus to be over. If it lasts like Tyler's did I still have 3 nights:/
