This year it was my turn to host Christmas Eve for my Mom's side of the family. So we spent most of the day preparing the house and the food for the evening. By the time everyone arrived Brynlie was crashed out on the couch in a deep sleep. The kids were so excited they could hardly contain themselves. We had a big meal and lots of desserts before the kids opened more gifts than any one child should receive. A tradition that we started a few years back is that the adults in the family buy two exchange gifts, one for the male and one for the female, we set a limit on how much you can spend and then we play "Dirty Santa". This game proved to be just as much fun as in the years past. Before leaving all the children put on their Christmas pj's so that they would be ready for Santa.
