Field Day

After picking Tyler up at his birthday party we had to catch a quick lunch before it was on to our next event, Field Day. We stopped by McDonalds where we enjoyed a nutritous lunch. While on the walk to our car we were stopped by the normal specatator that greeted us with the now very common,"Those all can't be yours." Jeff and I both smile and we say the same,"Oh, they are. We are blessed." Then look at each other in awe that it happened again.
Cub Scout Field Day is next. Tyler has been looking forward to this for weeks and this year Trenner gets to go too. This is great Father and Son time that can't be replaced. Field Day lasts for many hours so me and the girls go shopping and then home for our breathing treatments(FUN!!)When Field Day is over I pick up the boys and await their fun stories about their day. My favorite story actually comes from Jeff. He said at one of the stations there was an obstacle course set up. They put the boys in two lines and they would race whoever was next in line. Trenner was up next and his competitor was a kid that was about a head and a half taller than him. Jeff overheard this other kid look over at Trenner and say to everyone else,"Look, who I get to go against!!" I assume that this kid thought that it would be an easy win. This was also Jeff's assumption. Jeff said that Trenner scaled the wall and easily beat this big kid to win the obstacle course!! Jeff told this story with a ,"That's my boy!" attitude that made me smile.
