Gatlinburg

We had a wonderful long weekend and we chose to spend it on a short vacation with friends. We went to Tennessee with our neighbors, Ben and Kristen, and their 3 children. We had such a good time we are making plans to go again this summer. The kids were great and everyone agreed the weekend couldn't have been better.
On Friday we went on a 5 mile hike that ended at a beautiful waterfall. This hike was up through the mountains with steep cliffs and hills to climb. I completed this hike while wearing flip flops! Later that day, Kristen and I visited the wonderful outlet malls while the men took all the children to play putt-putt. After shopping we enjoyed a nice dinner out. that wasn't it though we went home and had nice cold margaritas. Ben and Jeff acted as school girls:) staying up talking on the balcony until 3am.
Saturday came early and the kids knew it, they were up playing pacman the arcade game. ping pong, and just being kids. That afternoon we went to Ben's parents house to celebrate Neeley and Kalli's birthday. We had pizza and cake as the kids played together. That evening it was couples night. Kristen's parents watched all the kids so that we were able to go shopping and to a movie, just the 4 of us. We enjoyed seeing Fireproof. We ended another great night with more margaritas on the balcony!!
This weekend was a blast! We are so blessed to have such great friends!!!
