Today Trenner is Star Student. This means it is his special day in this classroom. He takes in a display of his favorite pictures, his favorite books, snacks, and he gets to invite guests to visit. So this morning my Mom, Ansley, Brynlie and myself all went to school to eat lunch with Trenner. He smiled the whole time we were there. After recess we went back to Trenner's room. There he did a presentation for the class about his pictures. He did a great job explaining what each picture was and where it was taken. Next, he answered questions from his class. Then Trenner read his favorite book to his class. He read with such ease and precision it is amazing to think that he is only a first grader. He read with calmness and confidence. Finally, he showed everyone his scrapbook. This was very comfortable for Trenner. He spoke loudly and with excitement. For as shy as Trenner can be he is aware that his classroom is a safe place for him to be himself. I am so happy to have seen that. Again, I am a proud Momma!!!
