Tyler's First Communion

One proud family

These are some of his friends from his First Communion Class.

Tyler with his Godparents, Todd and April, how lucky is he?

After many months of preparation and anticipation Tyler made his First Communion on Sunday. This was a very exciting time for all of us. During the mass the children were the ones who read the readings, petitions, and brought forth the sacred gifts. With much anticipation Tyler read his reading without hesitation or problem. He was great!! It was such a proud time for all of us as we watched him eagerly learn his lessons each week. His curiosity and desire to learn was very comforting. He wanted to know more about Jesus and that made me proud!! Jeff did a great job working with Tyler making sure that he memorized prayers and lessons. He took advantage of the one on one time with his oldest son very well.

During mass Sunday it was so comforting to look around and see so much family there to support Tyler in his special day. We had family that drove from Saint Louis and Indianapolis just to share in Tyler's First Communion. I can't thank everyone enough for helping make Tyler's day extra special. It was so cute by the time everyone took pictures of Tyler at the church and home he finally said, "Please, no more flash photography!"
