Summer at the Baseball Fields

Well, summer is almost over. It seems it flew by. We spent nearly every weekend at the baseball field and looking back I wouldn't have it any other way. We started the summer with spring baseball. This was fun and exciting. Then after much thought and consideration
Jeff started a new all star team. He chose kids who wanted to play baseball but were not chosen for the all star team. He started the team with the main goal of self-improvement for each player. We had noticed that the kids who were strong baseball players played year round on All-Star teams. They got better because they were given the opportunity to play more baseball. So, the good players got better while the other players remained the same.
Jeff put so much time, sweat, heart, and love into creating a positive experience for all the boys. He made me so proud. He made sure the example he was setting as a coach was one he wanted the kids to strive to be....That says a lot when you see the way some of the coaches choose to behave. Jeff made me proud to be his wife once again...He never ceases to amaze me.
Tyler improved through the season. His hitting, fielding, and confidence improved. I couldn't ask for anymore from him. Trenner didn't play spring baseball so he had not hit off the pitching machine before. I am amazed at how quickly and how much Trenner has improved his skills. The other parents kept saying how amazed they were at his improvement. All my boys made me proud!! I can't wait to see what Fall Ball has in store for us this year!!
