This picture was taken when she was 3 in one of the competitions, they won 1st place!!
Before Brynlie was born Ansley was on a competitive cheer team. At only 3 years old it was obvious that she had a natural ability in tumbling and cheer. I am not one of those Moms who thinks my kids are good at everything.....I know they are not. Ansley was unusually good. However, with the birth of Brynlie long cheer practices and traveling for competitions did not sound appealing so we chose to sit a year out. After much begging, pleading, and persuading Ansley is now back in cheer. Without sounding like I am bragging on my child I have to say that I am so proud of her. She has worked so hard during her practices and has got her back handspring!! I am so amazed at her dedication and commitment to perfect whatever new skill she is learning.
Ansley has been practicing with both the Tiny Tots, ages 3-6 and the Mini Team ,ages 6-10, to see which team fits her based on skill level. I have been torn about which team I wanted her on. I wanted her to be placed on a team that best fit her and challenged her to keep achieving the next skill level. Yesterday at cheer practice the owner called me aside, I felt like I was being called into the Principal's office, to discuss moving her up. He said that with her getting her back handspring so quickly combined with her dedication that he feels she can handle the Mini team...........I am so proud of her. I spoke to her Tiny Tot coach later who confirmed that Ansley would move up. She commented about Ansley always following directions so well. This makes me so happy. You always hope that you raise your children in a way that will show them how to act in social settings. Ansley is a good listener and a hard worker and I feel so blessed to be her mom. I am so excited to see what she accomplishes this year in cheer and tumbling. We will be traveling to Indianapolis, Lexington, Dayton, and Destin this season. I will keep you up to date with her progress and take pictures of her during her competitions.
